FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
The easy answer and part here is to join the 15-year-old LinkedIn Group Business In Japan.
The longer answer is about getting value out of being part of the BIJ community, and that means introducing yourself from time to time, becoming visible by interacting with people in the community, joining the Clubhouse Club, and attending some of the drop-in audio events and any other events that come up from time to time.
The most obvious benefit is having access to almost 80,000 working professionals who are interested in doing Business in Japan, as the group suggests. Plus, there is no cost to join the BIJ LinkedIn Group, it is completely free.
Over 35% of our group is based in Japan, but we are an English-speaking community. Rest assured, if you’re joining as a member from outside Japan, you can communicate with the other members in English.
Also, BIJ-hosted events and online discussions are all conducted in English.
As mentioned, we highly recommend you make yourself visibly active in the group. That means introducing yourself to the community on LinkedIn, and how you are connected to doing business in or with Japan. Plus, don’t forget to explain how you can support or help people through your business and/or services and how others can engage and help you too.
We fully welcome anyone to join our Clubhouse Club and regular online discussions. In addition, you may want to contribute your time as a speaker, if this is something that would interest you, please reach out to us directly via the contact form.
On top of that, you may wish to contribute as a guest writer to the BIJ website blog. Please make sure your proposed article is relevant to doing business in Japan and can provide value to the broader community. Please contact us directly for more details via the contact form.
