Abe says: “I want to meet Kim, too”

Shinzo Abe says he should be included in the meeting between the US President and North Korean leader

After North Korea’s leader made a surprise trip to Beijing, Shinzo Abe announced he also wants to meet Kim Jong-Un.

Mr Abe told politicians he hopes to be involved in the summit between Kim and Trump, due to take place this summer.

He wants to raise the issue of Japanese people abducted by North Korea in the 1970s and 1980s.

So, following the rapid diplomatic developments in the region, what are the chances of an Abe-Kim meeting?
